England coach Capello says he will leave behind a long-lasting legacy
April 3rd, 2011 - 2:33 pm ICT by ANILondon, Apr. 3 (ANI): England football coach Fabio Capello has hit back at his critics, insisting he will leave a long-lasting legacy - an England side which will win the World Cup.
Last week, German team manager Oliver Bierhoff claimed that Capello’s side at last summer’s World Cup was the worst England side during his lifetime.
Capello, however, claimed: “I will be really happy when I look back and see that young players like Joe Hart, Andy Carroll and Jack Wilshere started with me and I helped them, because they will be really important players when England win the World Cup and other titles.”
The Daily Express quoted him as saying further: “I hope you all remember I was a really professional manager and that my job was to find new players for the future.” (ANI)
