Emmitt Smith Gets Emotional While Delivering Hall Of Fame Speech

In the enshrinement ceremony that was held at the Fawcett Stadium on Saturday night witnessed the highly-acclaimed player being inducted into the much coveted Hall of Fame along with six other prominent names of the NFL.

After the former Dallas Cowboys running back was announced as one of the winner of this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame, the noted player delivered a 22 minutes long emotionally charged acceptance speech that moved many among the audiences into tears. During the powerful speech, the talented running back got extremely emotional as he expressed his gratitude for everyone who had a role to play in his success. Tears rolled down his cheeks as Emmitt Smith talked about his former teammate Daryl Johnston as he recalled the sacrifices that the fullback had made for him. At the same time, the 41-year-old former player also remembered the significant role that his father had played in ensuring that he is able to live his dream of showcasing his sporting skills in the National Football League.

During his illustrious career, Emmitt Smith had been associated with the Dallas Cowboys as well as the Arizona Cardinals. The talented running back earned wide accolades while playing for the Dallas Cowboys where he delivered 164 touchdowns and rushed for 18,355 yards. Emmitt Smith is also known for a career record of 4,409 carries.
