Dec. 07, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The fact that the Emerald Bowl gets to host the USC in the upcoming post-season games came as a shocker to many. The venue at the AT&T Park at San Francisco will be playing host to the teams from Boston College and Southern California. Both the teams are happy at the match ups, but hardly as pleased as the crew at the venue itself, who are elated to be able to host two of the most promising teams in college football.
The coach of the Trojans of the University of Southern California, Pete Carroll, feel that playing at the Emerald Bowl is going to be a homecoming experience for him. Pete Carroll had been born in San Francisco and had grown up in Marin County. As far as the players of the team is concerned, he feels that the change of venue is going to be a great learning experience for the team. Pete Carroll is also elated about the match up against the team of the Boston College, admitting that they would be a great team to play against. Also, he hoped that the Emerald Bowl venue would be successful in bringing about a change in the performance of the team, which had been rather disappointing in the later half of the last season.
The director of the Emerald Bowl, Gary Cavalli, commented that it was a great honor for the venue to be hosting the great match up. The match up is ideal, as the University of Southern California boasts some of the best teams and programs in college football while Boston College comprises some of the premier institutions of the country.
