carAug 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Sunday race at Pocono Raceway could have turned out to be the last one for Elliott Sadler but all kudos to the No.19 Ford manufacturer, the safety measures of the car saved the life of the racers whose car was hit from behind during the race. The impact of the hit was so hard that it dropped the engine of the car and tossed it to the side ways. The player walked out of the car and laid down on his back on the Pocono Raceway asphalt. Luckily the player had suffered only a little sore in stomach and chest.

The whole chain of crashes began on Sunday during the race’ 165 lap. The first car to be hit was that of Kurt Busch who was hit from behind by Jimmie Johnson. The car of the former then spun and hit the outside wall and ended up getting hit by Clint Bowyer. The car of Kurt Busch then hit the guardrail between Turns 1 and 2 and it is then that the No. 19 Ford of Elliott Sadler got hit from behind. The video footage of the accident however does not point out clearly the car that had hit Elliott Sadler’s car. The racer himself could not tell who had hit him from behind.

After the crash, Elliott Sadler said to media sources that all that he could see before the crash was smoke and a “car going sideways”. He added that the crash was definitely one of the hardest that he has ever suffered in a race car. He also praised the manufacturer of the car and said that if he could come out of the crash and speak then all the credit goes to the safety measures of the car.
