Edilbert’s four lifts United Brothers
August 8th, 2012 - 8:43 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Aug 8 (IANS) Powered by Edilbert Martis’ four goals, United Brothers outplayed Tanishka FC 8-0 in a third division match of the Mumbai District Football Association League here Wednesday.
Erlin Saldanha, Elvis Fernandes, Christopher Macwan and Suvin Fernandes scored one goal each to seal the win for the Brothers at the St Xavier’s ground, Parel Wednesday.
Parsn SC also enjoyed a comfortable outing as they romped to a 3-1 win against Mumbai United in another clash. Vrush Patel, Dipen Seth and Suraj Kapoor were on target with a goal apiece for the winners, while Mumbai United scored their lone goal through Sunil Peddamallj’s efforts.
Meanwhile, Shantinagar Mitra Mandal scripted a narrow 1-0 victory against Atlanta FC. Sarvesh Naik netted the all-important winning goal for the Mandal side.
