Oct 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Game 2 of the World Series was a real excitement for all San Francisco Giant fans as for the second time this team emerged victorious against the Texas Rangers. The Giants bagged a score of 9-0, with a series lead of 2-0.
Even till the 7 2/3 innings, it was not as bad for Texas Rangers as they were trailing by a meager 2-0 when Matt Cain of the Giants was on the field. But soon the Giants scored seven runs in the eighth innings leading to its victory. This victory may be attributed to Edgar Renteria’s entry in the fifth innings of the match. Edgar Renteria, for whom this year has not been too good for his injury, was quite excited with his performance and said that he is happy to have emerged as a survivor. He has always been ready for his team and everything else has been less important than his sports. He has always been waiting for a moment like this. This 35 year old has an average of .429, with 4 At- Bats, 2 Holds, 3 runs batted in, 1 Strike out so far. His amazing performance may be attributed to C.J Wilson of the Texas Rangers, whose pathetic inside fastballs swatted over the wall near the left-field corner. C.J. Wilson was left humiliated with 6-plus innings, 3 hits, 2 runs, 4 strikeouts. The other Ranger player who made was significance performance was Matt Cain, who dominated the game till the 7 2/3 innings. He had 3 at-Bats, 1 hit, 1 strike out, with an average of .333. In Total, The Giants have a total of 32 At-Bats, 9 Runs, 8 Hits, 9 Bat Ins, 6 BB and 9 Strike Offs. On the other hand, the Texas Rangers have 30 At-Bats, 0 Runs, 4 Hits, 0 Bat Ins, 3 BB and 2 Strike offs.
The Texas Rangers have however not lost their hopes as C.J.Wilson says that they still have a few more games to go. They just have to go 4-1 in our next five games, which according to them is an achievable target, especially as they have Lewis Colby to start the game.
