Mumbai, June 18 (IANS) Kolkata’s Eden Gardens will be the venue for three international matches during the home series against West Indies and England October-December this year.

The Eden Gardens will host a one-off Twenty20 and one ODI against England as well as one Test match against the West Indies, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a statement after its Tour, Programme and Fixtures Committee met at the Cricket Centre earlier Saturday.

The dates of the matches, however, have not been announced.

Eden Gardens could not host the high-ticket India-England World Cup tie due to its unpreparedness. It was India’s only match at the Eden Gardens which then hosted three other World Cup matches — South Africa vs. Ireland, the Netherlands vs. Ireland and Zimbabwe vs. Kenya.

England are scheduled to play five ODIs and one Twenty20. The other four one-dayers will be played in Mumbai, Mohali, Hyderabad and Delhi. Mumbai and Delhi are also the venues for the remaining two Tests against the West Indies.
