Neville is famous among Man U players for battling to save the ozone layer by trading off gas-guzzling motors for electric cars and resorting to wind power to heat his eight million pound mansion in London.
“He is very serious and passionate about the environment,” The Daily Star quoted a Manchester United insider, as saying.
According to reports, the 34-year-old is also planning to extend his country estate in Lancashire, England by building a “zero-carbon” house, which will be partially underground.
Neville played at Old Trafford since the mid-1990s.
He made his international debut in 1995 and was the first choice right back for the club and country for more than a decade. (ANI)
