Nov. 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants ended in a surprise win for the Eagles. It might have been surprising, but there can be no doubt that it was a pleasant one. The Eagles won 40-17 against the Giants. The game was hosted by the Philadelphia Eagles. It could not have come as much of a wonder though, given that the Eagles seemed to conduct the match by their own terms from the moment they had stepped on the grounds.
The Giants were a lot responsible for their loss too. They made big play throughout the match, and the usual mistakes made by Eli Manning only helped to aggravate the damage caused by the long touchdowns by LeSean McCoy and Leonard Weaver. Donovan McNabb made thing seven worse by passing three touchdowns. The score was already decided by the starting and end of the first half of the match. It was considered ta good sign when the Eagles managed to score a touchdown when they were only few minutes into the game.
The abysmal score of the Giants and their lower than average performance did come as a major shock. Their performance did not quite seem to be up to the mark for a team that is vying for the first position in the NFC East. Their performance can also be attributed to the fact that the wide receiver Mario Manningham wasn’t able to play on Sunday owing to a shoulder injury. The game was critical for them, not only because they were being pitted against a strong opponent, but also because they had lost the previous two matches.
