dusPebble Beach, California, June 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) As the 2010 U.S. Open approaches its final day to seek the golf champion of the 110th edition of the tournament, anticipation is skyrocketing for American professional golfer Dustin Johnson as well as all his supporters. The ace golfer delivered five-under-66 in his third round which enabled him to take the lead ahead of Northern Ireland’s Graeme McDowell while world number one golfer Tiger Woods registering the third slot at one under.

The American golfer birdied the last two holes and ultimately finished at the score of six-under 207. The prospect of being at the verge of winning his first major title might be quite unnerving for the golfer, who turns 26 next Tuesday.

However, it did not seem that the pressure of playing against some of the biggest names in the game had taken a toll on the player who seemed to be quite confident prior to the final day of the game. While talking to reporters, the ace golfer added that emerging victorious in the U.S. Open was something that he lived for and practiced for everyday of his life. At the same time, Dustin Johnson also reiterated that if he continues to hit to way he has been throughout the tournament then he is surely going to be tough to beat.

Meanwhile, Dustin Johnson is known to have tasted success in the Monterey Peninsula earlier in his career as well. Out of his three PGA Tour victories, two of the wins came at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am in the year 2009 as well as 2010.
