Chapel Hill, Feb 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The basketball game of the Tar Heels of the University of North Carolina against the Duke Blue Devils did not go well for the Tar Hills at all. This had undoubtedly been a rather ignominious loss for the University of North Carolina basketball team, considering that they had been the host team. However, to be absolutely honest, not much hope was being pinned on the Tar Heels, considering that the Duke Blue Devils are one of the best in college men’s basketball. Predictably, the University of North Carolina lost the game against the Duke Blue Devils by a margin of ten points.

The game began at quite a fast pace, and there actually seemed to be some hope for the Tar Heels. In fact, with about 12 minutes left in the game, the University of North Carolina was actually four points in the lead, scoring 42 against the Duke Blue Devil’s 39. However, after that, they seemed to lose steam, leading to the miserable loss at 54-64. It was only in the final 21 seconds that the margin got stretched to 10 points.

The performance of the University of North Carolina team was less than impressive in the final few minutes of the game. The team managed to score only three field goals. On the other hand, the defense of the Duke Blue Devils was really good. The Tar Heels kept missing out free throws, and also long jumpers. This loss has brought them even closer to being defeated in the NCAA tournament that is just round the corner. If they do, this would be the first time ever since 2003.
