Duke Blue Devils Win Over West Virginia In NCAA Tournament Semi-Final

dukeIndianapolis, Apr 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Now it is only the NCAA finals that fans are keeping their fingers crossed for. The Duke Blue Devils under coach Mike Krzyzewski was able to bundle West Virginia with a winning score of 78-57. As it has always been a characteristic of the NCAA basketball tournament, the semi-final game between Duke Blue Devils and West Virginia was marked with excitement and enthusiasm. The Duke Blue Devils seemed to be at their top form and took the lead from the beginning of the game. West Virginia team however tried to fight back but seemed to lack the spark which was seen in some of the previous wins of the team.

The win leads the Duke Blue Devils to the finals for the eighth time under the coach Mike Krzyzewski who after Monday’s win seemed more than elated. The Duke Blue Devils on Saturday seemed to conquer the West Virginia from the three pointer zone. It has become the second team to provide the maximum number of 3 pointer score and now the team will share the top position with UNLV as the highest 3-pointer scorers in the national semi-finals.

The Duke Blue Devils went for an offensive game and put to work the interior passing. The team though had some misses, was able to get hold of the ball most of the time. On the side, the West Virginia it seemed were under-performing than their usual day. Even the coach of the team seemed disappointed with the performance showcased by the players. The West Virginia went for a man-to-man game strategy but could not provide the needed guard to the Duke Blue Devils who went to score the whooping 3-pointers.
