Duke Blue Devils Beat Baylor Bears To Reach Final Four

jonHouston, March 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After a gap of six years, the Duke Blue Devils team has been able to make it to the final four again. This will be their 11th appearance in the Final Four, under Coach Mike Krzyzewski. The Baylor Bears that provided a tough fight to the Duke team on Sunday, in the Elite Eight game, was knocked down at the end with 78-71 win by the Duke.

Both the teams seemed determined on Sunday to make it to the Final Four. Both Duke Blue Devils and Baylor Bears adopted a different game strategy which at the end went in favor of the Duke’s team. At the beginning of the game, Baylor Bears were riding high and did manage to get the lead. However, the margin was never too high and towards the end of the game, the Dukes exploited the three pointer position to add some valuable scores to their team which led to their ultimate win.

The Duke Blue Devils were trailing the Baylor by three points few minutes before the end of the game, but it seemed the day was fixed for them as just five minutes before the end of the game, Jon Scheyer and Nolan Smith provided the team with the winning 17 points. While Jon Scheyer finished with 20 points, Nolan Smith had managed 29 points.

On the part of the Baylor Bears, LaceDarius Dunn and Ekpe Udoh added 22 points and 18 points respectively to the team’s score. The coach of the Duke Blue Devils’ was elated by the team’s win and described the game as one of the finest. The Dukes are now scheduled to meet West Virginia on April 3, in Indianapolis.
