Miami, Feb 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The best part of the Super Bowl XLIV was probably when Drew Brees carried his son, Baylen Brees with tear filled eyes after the New Orleans Saints got the Super Bowl title, 31-17, over Indianapolis with an amazing performance in the second half. On Sunday night in the Sun Life Stadium, the New Orleans Saints for the first time became Super Bowl champions with a 31-17 triumph over the Indianapolis Colts.
Drew Brees was almost perfect after the first quarter. The quarterback was as usual very impressive. He looked quite determined and was probably destined to give the New Orleans Saints’ fans a chance to celebrate. Drew Brees’ arrival to the New Orleans Saints in 2006 marked the comeback of the franchise. It even marked a comeback of sorts for the city from the devastating Hurricane Katrina. He was instrumental in bringing back New Orleans Saints which was down by 10 in the first half. Drew Brees got the game’s MVP award after completing 32 passes overall.
Drew Brees said, “We just believed in ourselves.” He further added that he knew the entire city was supporting them, perhaps the entire country. He said it appeared to him that they were meant to win and, “It was all destiny.” In the half time of the game the band “The Who” with it’s lead singer Roger Daltrey and lead guitarist Peter Townsend with many others, rocked the stage and perhaps the performance of “The Who” echoed the win of the New Orleans Saints as they are known for their famous motto, “Who Dat” which is chanted by their fans.
