Documents stolen from Ishant Sharma’s car
September 16th, 2011 - 10:48 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 16 (IANS) Some unidentified miscreants stole important documents of Indian cricketer Ishant Sharma from his car here, police said Friday.
Sharma, along with his cousin, went to a gym Thursday evening at East Patel Nagar in central Delhi, a police officer said.
On returning, Sharma found the window of his car, Volkswagen Polo, broken. A bag containing important documents, including a passport, were missing, the officer said.
Police have registered a case of theft at the Ranjit Nagar police station.
Sharma told police that there was no cash in the bag.
“It is a work of local miscreants. We have rounded up a few of them and hope to nab the culprits,” said the officer.
