Documentary on Derek Jeter to be aired on 28th July

New York, July 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A documentary of legendary baseball player Derek Jeter will be aired on HBO on the 28th of July. Jeter recently reached a milestone in his career when he hit 3,000.

The documentary is titled “Derek Jeter 3K,” and it follows Jeter as he prepared for the fateful game on the 9th of July. During the game, Jeter wore a microphone.

USA Today reports that Jeter before the game agreed to allow Major League Baseball Productions to interview him and his family in the house. The documentary also features an interview of Jeter’s girlfriend Minka Kelly. The managing general partner of the New York Yankees, Hal Steinbrenner, was also interviewed in the documentary.

Jeter is the captain of the Yankees. He is regarded as one of the inspirational players of the current generation. During the game which was filmed for the documentary, Jeter made a home run with the 3000th hit in his career. He played that game through an injury.

In the build up to the game, the cameras caught Jeter up in his house rehabilitating his calf injury. Some friends of Jeter were also given the chance to speak about him.

HBO will air the special documentary on the 28th of July.
