Oct 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) MTV host T.J. Lavin has been under medically-induced coma at a medical facility in Las Vegas following a bike accident, according to latest reports. The popular BMX bike rider received severe injuries while he was performing a dangerous stunt at a competition in Las Vegas last week after which he was admitted to the Las Vegas’ University Medical Center. Although the exact details of his condition continues to remain sketchy, it has been reported that the MTV host is showing signs of improvement.
The accident in which T.J. Lavin sustained major injuries took place last week at the Dew Tour Championships in Las Vegas when the BMX biker tried to pull off a “nac nac” jump combination. Unfortunately, during the stunt, the MTV host failed to land on the pedals resulting in a crash which left him with a broken right wrist, injured his ribs while he immediately lost consciousness. In the meanwhile, sources at the Las Vegas hospital have reportedly revealed to the media that after thorough examination was carried out, it seems unlikely that T.J. Lavin has suffered any brain damage although it has been reported that the MTV host has been diagnosed with pneumonia. However, doctors are said to be quite hopeful about the his chances of recovery as pneumonia is a quite common trouble for patients with breathing tubes.
While revealing details of T.J. Lavin’s current condition, his friend and business manager Chas Aday stated that BMX biker’s condition is gradually improving and the breathing tube might also be removed by the end of this week.
