Novak Djokovic Paris, Nov 10 (IANS) Serb Novak Djokovic, overcoming a shoulder injury that bothered him in the Swiss Indoors, scored an easy 6-4, 6-3, win over Croat Ivan Dodig in the second round of the Paris Masters Wednesday.

The World No.1 missed last month’s Shanghai Masters to recover from the shoulder injury. The Serb stood to lose $1.6 million in bonus if he had skipped the Paris Masters, too.

“I took the necessary measures in the last couple of days in order to recover (and) play in this tournament,” said Djokovic.

“I’m feeling good on the court and that’s what matters.”

Djokovic will now play fellow countryman Viktor Troicki in the third round of the tournament.

Other big guns Roger Federer and Andy Murray also registered easy victories in the second round.

Murray breezed past Jeremy Chardy of France 6-2, 6-4, while Federer made short work of his French opponent Adrian Mannarino, 6-2, 6-3.
