Diwali like fireworks light up Mohali sky
March 31st, 2011 - 1:10 am ICT by IANSMohali, March 30 (IANS) Fireworks lighted up the night sky in Mohali and Chandigarh as soon as India claimed the last Pakistani wicket to enter the World Cup final.
In Mohali, where the cricketing action took place, and in adjoining Chandigarh and across Punjab and Haryana, firecrackers were burst as soon as India defeated Pakistan.
The celebrations continued for a long time.
“It is a great moment. I had kept my Diwali crackers ready for this victory. We have reached the World Cup final and have also beaten Pakistan. It is simply amazing,” entrepreneur Sunny Singh told IANS.
