Distraught Adebayor attends funeral of pals
January 16th, 2010 - 2:03 pm ICT by ANILondon, Jan 16 (ANI): Togolese skipper Emmanuel Adebayor watched in stunned silence the funeral of his pals who were shot by Angolan rebels.
Players in tracksuits wore white gloves to be pallbearers for Togo assistant coach Abalo Amelete and media officer Stanislas Ocloo.
Stanislas died in Adebayor’s arms and the Manchester City striker was seen looking distraught soon after the attack.
The coach driver was also killed when rebels opened fire with machine-guns last Friday as the squad entered Angola for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Togo team was flown back to capital Lome for the funerals. (ANI)
