Sep 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Green Bay, Wisconsin based Green Bay Packers signed in Running Back Dimitri Nance as a replacement for Ryan Grant who will be missing the rest of the 2010 season due to his injured right ankle while playing against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 12th.
The Arizona Falcons signed Dimitri Nance, a 1988 born Texan, as a undrafted free agent in 2010. Prior to this Dimitri Nance was playing college football for 4 years at Arizona State University. Playing for the Arizona State University, the player had 6 touchdowns in his credit in the last senior season. Dimitri Nance was also one of the stars in the preseason where he rushed for two touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs. Over the course of 4 years at Arizona State University, he did 19 touchdowns and averages about 4 yards per rushdown.
With Dimitri Nance loosing out to Antone Smith for a roster spot with Falcons, the Packers were too happy to snap him up as a replacement for the seasoned Ryan Grant. After completing the waiver formalities, Dimitri Nance was formally signed on to the practice squad on Sept. 5th. Dimitri Nance, however, has a big pair of shoes to fill in. Ryan Grant has been one of the star performers with the Packers since 2007 when he had twice received the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week in 2007. As a result of this dream run, Ryan Grant was offered a 4 year contract that was potentially valued at $30 Million. After a disappointing 2008 season, Ryan GRant had bounced back, riding a stellar performance in 2009.
In addition to Dimitri Nance, The Green Bay Packers also signed in Jarius Wynn as a replacement for defensive end Justin Harrell.
