Kollam (Kerala), April 4 (IANS) Minister of Civil Aviation Vayalar Ravi Monday announced that four Air India officials who are members of the winning World Cup cricket team would be given promotions.
“M.S. Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina will soon get a promotion for being part of the winning Indian team. They are already officers and it is a normal practice (to give them promotion),” Ravi told reporters here.
“I have spoken to the concerned people to give them a promotion to the next grade,” he added.
The Indian cricket team beat Sri Lanka by six wickets April 2 to win the Cricket World Cup, 28 years after it won the cup for the first time win in 1983.
