Nov.10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Los Angeles Lakers player Derek Fischer displayed a scintillating performance that ensured his team’s victory when it clashed with the New Orleans Hornets on Sunday in the Staples Center. Fischer seemed to be in full control of the game throughout the match, enabling his team to register their fifth straight win.

The 35 year old player managed to score a three pointer in the first half of the game which gave his team the edge with which they easily dominated the rest of the game and registered a 104-88 win. The victory was all the more special as the Lakers now rank at the top spot of the Pacific Division with the Phoenix Suns for the top place. The match saw Derek score a total of eight points in addition to a pair of dimes and two assists. However, the player’s performance did not come as a surprise as he had performed even better in Friday’s game when the Lakers had encountered Memphis Grizzlies. In this match the Lakers had defeated the opponents by a score of 114-98 with Derek scoring 11 points and seven assists which were the highest in the season.

Derek is one of the most accomplished basketball players of the of the National Basketball Association who has been in the game for near about 14 years. Apart from being among the most popular players of his team, over the years the veteran player has witnessed many achievements. As a part of the Los Angeles Lakers, Derek has won four NBA championships. In the month of September this year, the player also released his book Character Driven: Life, Lessons, and Basketball.
