Cleveland, March 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Monday night Mike Holmgren traded Seattle Seahawks quarterback player Seneca Wallace into the Cleveland Browns team and on Tuesday announced the release of the Cleveland quarterback player Derek Anderson. Derek Anderson was due to receive a roster bonus of $2 million on Mar 15 and seemed quite displeased with the termination of the term.

Derek Anderson, who did a brilliant performance at Pro Bowl in 2007 with 29 touchdowns and leading his team to a victorious 10-6 win, had seen many rough patches during his tenure with the Cleveland Browns. His position dwindled when the Cleveland Browns brought Brady Quinn in 2008. Derek Anderson lost his position of starting the game. According to reports, the president of the Cleveland Browns, Mike Holmgren had in February said that the team will not perhaps keep two quarterback players, Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn, together in the team for the 2010 season. Therefore the exclusion of the player from the Cleveland Browns comes as the follow-up.

On Tuesday after the announcement of the release, Eric Mangini the Cleveland Browns coach thanked the player for his contribution to the team and said that Derek Anderson is a competitive player and he liked to coach him. Eric Mangini also added that it was a pleasure on his part to coach Derek Anderson who did what ever was asked out of him to do. However all did not seem well with the quarterback player Derek Anderson himself as he seemed displeased and had reportedly said that none from the Cleveland Browns team has tried to establish a contact with him. He also expressed his grudges against the Cleveland Browns fans.
