deonOct.25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Deon Butler, in the latest installment of “Rookie Diaries” will speak of his public life, that is his soccer matches, as well as the part of his life that is personal, that is, about his mother. Deon is a rookie wide receiver for the Seahawks. He does this column in collaboration with sports columnist Jerry Brewer. Jerry is the sports columnist for Seattle Times. In this column, he tries to convey to the public how life is for a rookie at the NFL.

In the current installment of the “Rookie Diary”, Deon talks about the catch he missed in the last game against Arizona. As a result, his team lost the game. After the match, he had gone out to enjoy a bite or two and have a good laugh, to escape the feeling of disappointment that had engulfed him after losing the match. He admits that he is aware that they are a good team and that this defeat was way below them. Shifting from the obviously depressing topic, he moves on to more personal levels. Foreseeing a change in the weather, he is ready to go along and buy some clothes suitable for the rainy season. He says that he has already bought some good winter clothes from Nordstrom. The rookie goes on to talk about further personal matters like his progress in decorating his apartment and his mother’s valiant efforts to drive his new car.

Deon says that his bye doesn’t mean he is tired of playing football. He admits that he is in a kind of “rookie mode.” He further says that his keeping away from playing a huge number of matches is also keeping him physically fit.
