Jan 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It was only two weeks ago that the Carolina Panthers had declined to re-kindle their deal with John Fox. However, the former Carolina coach did not have to spend much time amidst despair as he recently bagged the role of the head coach of the Denver Broncos. On Thursday, it was officially confirmed that the Broncos would have John Fox as their new coach.
Although John Fox led the Carolina Panthers into a disappointing NFL season this time, it seems that the Denver Broncos does not mind hiring him to give an impetus to their performance. With a worst 4-12 season this time, the Denver Broncos have found their new ray of hope in the ex-Carolina coach who might be able to help them in reviving their lost fortune. According to sources, John Fox on Wednesday had arrived in Denver to meet John Elway, chief football executive of the Broncos and after some final discussions, the decision was made public on Thursday. The Denver Broncos have been looking for a new coach following the termination of Josh McDaniels early December last year after he had lead them to disastrous results and had also got involved in a controversial videotaping scandal.
Although, the news of the new Denver Broncos coach has been announced, the financial details of the contract yet remains unknown. The new Broncos coach made it evident that he is extremely happy with his new team since the Broncos always had a tradition of winning which he will surely revive once again. On the other hand, Broncos too seemed to be satisfied with their new recruit as the team officials were seen acknowledging the leadership quality of their new coach.
