The decision of the Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen to fire the former New England Patriots defensive coordinator with just four games remaining has indeed sent shock waves in the National Football League fraternity. The team has confirmed that for the final month, Eric Studesville would be assuming the duties of the interim coach for the Denver Broncos.

Following Josh McDaniels termination, a statement was issued by Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen in which he thanked the 34-year-old coach for his efforts with the team while appreciating Josh McDaniels for his passion, enthusiasm as well as hard work. At the same time, the Denver Broncos owner also reiterated that although it was indeed difficult for him to take the decision of firing the team’s head coach, he had to take it as it was really unhappy with the results and the way in which the team was headed. Sources within the team have revealed that the Broncos players had no clue that Josh McDaniels would be terminated when they exited the headquarters of the team on Monday afternoon. Soon after that, the former New England Patriots defensive coordinator was summoned in Pat Bowlen’s office and was subsequently sacked.

Meanwhile, Josh McDaniels issued a statement on Monday night following his termination in which he expressed his gratitude towards Pat Bowlen and the rest of the organization for giving him the opportunity to be the head coach of the franchise.
