Mar 12 (Pen Men at Work): A procedure that commenced in the early dawn hours of January 1, 2007, came to a conclusion on Thursday afternoon in a Denver court of law.
After a panel of judges debated intensely over duration of three days, Willie D. Clark was declared culpable on every count, which includes the first-degree slaughter of former Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams. The case finally received a verdict and justice has been delivered.
President and CEO Pat Bowlen explicated emotionally in a proclamation that nothing could ever make Darrent Williams come back or relieve the anguish for (his mother) Rosalind and her grandchildren. But Bowlen also mentioned that, after three elongated years, it is exceedingly heartwarming to glimpse the shutting down of this heartbreaking case. He judged that this course of action has been exceptionally thorny for the Williams family unit, his acquaintances and teammates, this society, and the whole Denver Broncos association.
He further elucidated that he would prefer to go into raptures over the extensive hard slog of the Denver Police Department and the Denver District Attorney’s Office. He also divulged that he desired to express gratitude to the Denver community for the awe-inspiring assistance that both the Williams family and the Broncos have attained during this indescribable catastrophe.
He revealed that Darrent’s heritage will survive on for all of them in the Broncos club, and the dazzling work done on a daily basis at the Darrent Williams Memorial Teen Center is a mark of respect to his impact on this community. Their hearts and souls continue to be sent to the whole Williams family.
Williams was 24 years old when he was shot and exterminated near downtown Denver simply hours after the Broncos’ 2006 season came to a termination. It is safe to state that though his existence was cut short wretchedly, his remembrance subsists on in Denver through the Darrent Williams Memorial Teen Center, which opened its doors and gates in Montbello in May of 2008. A figurine of the 5-foot-8 cornerback is positioned outside, apparently looking over the center, a position that bequeaths a harmless haven for countless offspring in the community.
