New York, Mar 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The old stadium of the New York Yankees, which once hosted several gut-wrenching matches of different teams has now turned into a heap of debris. The stadium, which had witnessed several historical records has not been destroyed by any natural calamity. According to the reports, the authorities have decided to demolish the stadium and prepare the place for the construction of a park. It has been reported that the demolition of the Yankees stadium has been quite disappointing for the sports lovers, who have witnessed matches here.
According to reports, demolition of the New York Yankees’ old stadium has been quite a tough job for the workers. Reports indicated that people who were engaged to demolish the stadium had found difficulty in completing their job due to the location of the stadium. The reports also indicated that the residential areas lie in close proximity to the stadium which made it quite difficult for the workers to use explosives to destroy the structure of the stadium. The route of an elevated subway train also lied close to the stadium and was one of the reason, which delayed the demolition of the stadium.
As per the reports, the workers had to spend a couple of months in the stadium before they actually started the work of demolishing it. Reports stated that workers had spent the two months in removing asbestos from the stadium, which lies in a busy area. The location of the area had caused several inconveniences to the workers. However, they are working really hard to bring down the stadium of the Yankees.
