demianBrazilian Demian Maia was one of the major contenders of the UFC’s Middleweight division but showed some unsuccessful strife on his match against the experienced Nate Marquardt, who has 38 fights record.

Nate got the glory of a one punch knockout against his opponent at the UFC 102 on Saturday night.

Demian who is a martial arts performer who is known for his improvisations of the Jiu-jitsu seemed on a failing crusade on Saturday. The fighters after having victimized WEC middleweight top contender Chael Sonnen at the UFC 95, seemed eager to notch up the next championship but gave a miserable performance. His defender Nate later told sources, “I want the belt.I don’t know who is getting the shot next but if you want someone who can go in there and kick Anderson Sliva’s butt, then you’re going to give the shot to me.” Anybody in his right senses would not be anticipating Nate to have won against Demian after he failed to appeal his audience in the UFC 73, and now nearly 30 events later he propels and matures into a powerful opponent unexpectedly.

It was a swift victory in the first round within 21 seconds , when Nate placed a right strike to the head of Demian whose head went reeling fallibly. This is the first blow to Demian’s otherwise flawless career. The match would certainly cause him much anguish after having caused the diminution of the enviable track record of 10-0 to 10-1 now.

Maia has initially defeated Nate Quarry at the UFC 91.Ed Herman, Marvin Eastman and Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald are some of his prior contenders.
