oregonMar 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Anticipation has been running immensely high about the 16-team College Basketball Invitational which is scheduled to commence on Tuesday night. One of the teams whose performance would be watched out for in the tournament is defending champion Oregon State, who were crowned as the winner last year.

It has been reported that the first game featuring the defending champion would take place on Wednesday when the Oregon State would be facing the Boston University team in a home game. In the tournament, the defending champions would be guided by head coach Craig Robinson, who is known to be the brother-in-law of United States President Barack Obama. While reacting to being chosen to defend their title in the much anticipated tournament, the head coach of Oregon State reiterated that the team was hugely excited to have been bestowed with the opportunity. At the same time, Craig Robinson also added that clashing against Boston University would be a huge challenge for the team while emphasizing that getting selected for the tournament was indeed a huge reward for the players of the team.

The selection to play in the College Basketball Invitational was surely a special opening for the Oregon State as supposedly it is the only team to have been chosen which was devoid of a winning record. Expectations would surely be immensely high from the Oregon State, which registered a stunning victory against the UTEP in the tournament that was held last year. However, how the team fares in the competition this time remains to be seen, with the fans eagerly waiting for the Oregon State’s opening match on Wednesday.
