Dayne CristSep 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In what can only be described as selfless dedication to the game, Dayne Crist recently revealed that he continued to play in the game against Michigan Wolverines, in spite of being unable to see from his right eye and also feeling groggy. The fighting Irish quarterback was asked to come off after he noticed that he was not being able to play like his usual self. Before being pulled off, however, Dayne Crist scored 71 yard scoring dive that gave his side an early lead in the game that they eventually lost to the Michigan Wolverines 28-24.

Dayne Crist spoke about the incident recently to the media and said that after taking the hit he tried to shake it off quickly. He added that he soon realized that he was unable to see from one eye. He said that he wanted to continue playing because he was thinking that he still had some more time to get off the field. The quarterback has assured the media that he is perfectly fit now and the medical personnel had checked him meticulously before deeming him fit for the next game against Michigan this week.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish lost to the Michigan Wolverines in the crucial tie last week. Some of the experts have said that the Fighting Irish need to focus on the back ups of the star quarterback, Dayne Crist. Tommy Rees and Nate Montana, the son of Joe Montana, who played in place of Dayne Crist failed to make any impression in the game which they lost in spite of the winning start provided by Dayne Crist.
