Davis Cup: Sugita gives Japan 1-0 lead against India

Tokyo, Sep 16 (IANS) Yuichi Sugita defeated India’s Somdev Devvarman 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 in the first singles to give Japan a 1-0 lead in the Davis Cup World Group play-off on the opening day here Friday.
India’s Rohan Bopanna will now take Japan’s No.1 Kei Nishikori in the second singles.
