david_thompson_dunkAccording to sources, the six time NBA basketball champion Michael Jordan has surprisingly picked the American Professional basketball player, David Thompson in order to host his induction to the NBA basketball Hall Of Fame.

The choice seemed to be an unexpected one for many, as Jordan reportedly announced that David “Skywalker” Thompson would be the man who would host his induction to the Hall Of Fame. Michael has reportedly shared a close relationship with former NBA coach Phil Jackson and college coach Dean Smith, who were both regarded as the front runners as the potential host for his induction.

The fans of Jordan seemed to be in a stir as most of the fans thought that Michael would choose either of the two coaches to host his induction, David’s inclusion thus reportedly surprised them.

On the other hand, Jordan who felt that his decision was creating a lot of speculations came to the forefront and said that although he shares a strong bonding with the coaches that has influenced his career, it was David Thompson who made Michael what he is today. Michael also said that he used to see David as an athletic role model in his local area.

David Thompson reportedly played basketball for the North Carolina State, and is supposedly the only former NC Stage College player to have his number retired. Thompson was known in the baseball arena as David “Skywalker” Thompson due to his amazing 48-inch vertical leap. David reportedly holds the NBA’s third highest single game scoring title with 73 points.
