David Beckham walking on crutches post surgery

Turku, Mar 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) David Beckham was operated on for the torn Achilles tendon, and post surgery, he is now walking on crutches. David Beckham was injured in an AC Milan versus Chievo Verona match. He tore his Achilles tendon, in the AC Milan’s 1-0 win over Chievo Verona, on Sunday. He was quite upset at the sudden turn of events that would now bar him from playing the prestigious World Cup. However he took the injury in his stride and released a statement on his website, “I am upset but (want) to thank everyone for their messages of support. I hope to make a swift and full recovery.”
His singer and designer wife Victoria Beckham has joined him, in Turku. And he is also set to begin a stint of rehabilitation and physiotherapy. The doctors expect that he would be back on the football field in about 6 months. Post surgery, he released a statement regarding his physical state, which said that, “I’m feeling positive and now concentrating on getting back to full fitness over the coming months”.
Dr. Sarkari Orava spoke to the media after the surgery, and said that the football star is feeling fine, even though he is required to spend some more time in his clinic. He also revealed that his team is making the rehabilitation schedule for the footballer.
