David Beckham To Walk On Crutches For Two Weeks

davidTurku, Finland, March 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) David Beckham is back on his feet again but with crutches. The AC Milan player has suffered an injury on his left leg during a football game last Sunday. The player suffered from torn Achilles tendon towards the end of the game in which his team won by 1-0 over Chievo Verona. David Beckham was operated at a private health clinic in Finland on Monday.

Dr. Sakari Orava, the physician who operated the famous footballer said that the player was doing fine and had walked on his legs on Tuesday. He mentioned that the player has suffered from a total rupture of the Achilles tendon. However, David Beckham has not been suffering from any more pain and is now recuperating from the injury. The physician when asked about the time the soccer star will take to recuperate, mentioned that in the case of tendon tear the patient needs six months time to get into the action as before.

Reportedly, David Beckham who is bound by a contract with AC Milan till June 30, now has very negligible chances of appearing at the World Cup which is scheduled to begin on June 11 at South Africa. AC Milan’s organizing director Umberto Gandini has however reportedly said that the player’s contract with the team will in no way get affected by the injury and the contractual obligation will prevail until June 30. According to him, the rehabilitation of the player will be arranged by AC Milan and the Los Angeles Galaxy until June. The player after the end of the contract will return to the Los Angeles Galaxy. However, as of now the player will be on the crutches for two more weeks as directed by the physician.
