London, June 06 (ANI): ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ director Danny Boyle may helm the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.
The organizers apparently feel Boyle is the best person to do the job.
“We want the most imaginative ceremony the world has ever seen,” The Times quoted a senior source, closely involved in planning the Games, as saying.
Another insider added: “Nothing has been signed yet, but we do fully expect him to do it.” When asked whether he had been approached, Boyle said: “I can’t say any more. It would be lovely, wouldn’t it?”
The Lancashire-born director lives near the site of the Games in east London. (ANI)
