Daniel Vassallo wins the Philadelphia Marathon

Philadelphia, Nov 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Philadelphia Marathon and the half marathon were held yesterday and it was a major success on all fronts. More than 17,000 people participated in the marathon. However ultimately the top honor was won by Daniel Vassallo who belongs to Wilmington. It certainly is a time to celebrate for Daniel because he is just 25 years old and this is a major success and apart from that, he had hernia surgery 4 months ago. His timing in the marathon was 2:21:28.

David Bedoya who belongs to Summerville bagged the second place and his timing was off by the first placeholder by just 2 minutes at 2:23:37. And the third placeholder was Ryan Bender, who is an inhabitant of Charlotte and he clocked 2:25:10

In the women’s section, the top honors were bagged by 36 years old Mariska Kramer with a splendid timing of 2:38:55. She is an inhabitant of the Netherlands and she confessed that the Philadelphia marathon was more strenuous for her, compared to the events, which are held in her home country. The second place was bagged by 49 years old Russian Ramilia Burangulova with the timing of 2:40:32
