Danica Patrick’s NASCAR debut is long awaited

Daytona, Feb 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Indy Racing League sensation Danica Patrick is all set for her first NASCAR debut race on Saturday. JR Motorsports made an official announcement that Danica Patrick would make her NASCAR Nationwide Series debut in the No. 7 Chevrolet this Saturday at Daytona International Speedway. “To be the one driving that Go Daddy car at Daytona means a lot to me,” Patrick said.
GoDaddy.com and JRM co-owners Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Eury Jr., and Rick Hendrick are going to sponsor Danica Patrick’s debut at NASCAR. She will be a nationwide teammate at Daytona with Dale Earnhardt Jr., who will be driving the No. 88 Chevrolet in the series’ season-opener.
Since she is a newcomer at NASCAR, as she just had some practice sessions, so she is all set to ‘learn on the job’ itself. Danica Patrick said that everybody at NASCAR is very friendly and helps her a lot, and the atmosphere is really nice. She says that Juan Montoya helped her in drafting, and thus she made the successful jump from INDY to NASCAR.
This jovial atmosphere at the NASCAR came as a pleasant surprise to Danica Patrick, as at INDY, she was almost on her own, as a loner, because nobody was ready to help her there. Danica Patrick has risen successfully to every professional challenge that is thrown her way, and her time at NASCAR shouldn’t be any different.
