Danica Mckellar Gives Birth To Her Son Draco

danica-mckellar September 11, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Danica Mckellar, the former star who was seen in ‘The Wonder Years’ gave birth to a boy on Tuesday. She welcomed the birth of her son naming him Draco Verta. The happy news was announced by People.com. The name literally means dragon taken from the name of the constellation weighed a robust 7 pounds at birth.

The couple comprising of Danica Mckellar and her husband Mike Verta expressed their gratitude at being blessed with a healthy son. They also said that they have just began to learn the meaning of true love now after having stated that they were humbled at the miraculous gift that they received.

The 35 year old Mckellar and Mike Verta, 37, a film and television music composer got married in March 2009. They announced the happy tidings of her pregnancy a year after. Draco is the first child for both of them.

Mckellar had worked in ‘The Wonder Years’ where she played Winnie Cooper on the ABC show. The TV show ran from 1988 to 1993. She is a mathematician at present having published three books on the subject. Kiss my Math, Math Doesn’t Suck as well as her recent, Hot X: Algebra Exposed have made it to the best selling list. She is also a mathematics major from UCLA and had graduated in 1998. Her family had always believed in education and she complied despite being an actor of repute.
