New York, June 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Dallas Mavericks took a 3-2 lead after winning the NBA Final Game 5. The Mavericks beat the Miami Heat 112-103 on Thursday night and take a giant leap towards winning the 2011 NBA Finals.

Just a week ago, Miami was in command of the finals after they raced to 2-1 lead. However a disappointing game on Tuesday tied the finals at 2-2 making the fifth game crucial. The game on Thursday was much better from Miami than in the previous game.

Dallas raced to an early lead but they surrendered it in the fourth quarter of the game when Miami overtook them and ended up 99-95 on the top. They couldn’t hold on to that allowing Dallas to pick 17 points against their 4 in the fourth quarter. The defeat will undoubtedly be very disappointing for Miami especially after they promised to give their all in the game.

More disappointing was James LeBron who promised but delivered little managing only 17 points. He got only 2 points in the fourth quarter of the game.

The next game will take place on Sunday in Miami and a win for the Mavericks in Game 6 will hand them the title.
