New Delhi, Oct 12 (IANS) An extra-time penalty corner goal by Justin Reid-Ross powered South Africa to a 3-2 win against a 10-man Pakistan in a classification match for 5-6 positions in the men’s hockey competition at the Commonwealth Games here Tuesday.

In a closely-fought match that was marred by a red card suspension of Pakistan’s Irfan Muhammad for misconduct in the 58th minute, South Africa did well to come back from 0-2 down to tie the score and force the extra-time.

In the regulation period, veteran Rehan Butt scored both the goals for Pakistan in the 28th and 53rd minutes while the South Africans replied through Reid-Ross (55th) and Gareth Carr (62). Reid-Ross got the winner in extra-time.
