CWG federation officials satisfied with Games medical preparedness
July 28th, 2010 - 11:21 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 28 (IANS) A team from the Commonwealth Games Federation Wednesday expressed satisfaction over the Delhi government’s medical arrangements for the Oct 3-14 Games.
The team led by M. Jegathesan along with Delhi Health Minister Kiran Walia inspected various hospitals in the capital and hoped that everything will be done in time as “lots of activities” are ongoing.
Walia said the designated hospitals for medical care to athletes, team officials, technical delegates and Games family will be G.B. Pant hospital, R.M.L. hospital and Jai Prakash Narain apex trauma centre of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
“Each of these hospitals will have a secure ward, emergency areas, ICU beds and 30 beds identified to meet the requirement of athletes. A polyclinic with ten observations bed at Games Village will also be set up,” she added.
