CWG Badminton: Kashyap advances to second round
October 10th, 2010 - 1:29 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 9 (IANS) India’s Parupalli Kashyap defeated Michael Stewart Browlee of Falkland Islands 21-8, 21-3 to move into the second round of men’s singles badminton at the Commonwealth Games here Saturday.
In mixed doubles, Sanave Thomas and Aparna Balan beat Australia’s Warfe Glenn and Tang He Tian 21-9, 21-13.
Another pair, Rupesh Kumar and Ashwini Ponnappa went past Steve Hansley and Camille Alisen of Seychelles 21-8, 21-14.
In singles, top seed Saina Nehwal and Aditi Mutatkar have got a bye in the first round.
