CWG Archery: Deepika wins gold, Dola picks up bronze
October 10th, 2010 - 12:51 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 10 (IANS) India’s Deepika Kumari won the gold while Dola Bannerjee had to settle for a bronze in the recurve archery event of the Commonwealth Games here Sunday.
Deepika made history by winning the gold medal against former Olympic medallist Williamson Alison Jane of England 6-0.
Veteran Dola won the bronze after beating Malaysian Anbarasi Subramaniam 6-2 in the third place play-off.
