New Delhi, Oct.22 (ANI): Australian and New South Wales cricketer Simon Katich, it seems, is a cook of some repute.

Katich defeated fashion designer Alex Perry and broadcaster Wendy Harmer on Celebrity MasterChef last night.

Katich, captain of the NSW Blues, cooked his signature crusted salmon signature dish and a Stephanie Alexander ten-layer crepe cake.

“Everyone thinks that not having a sense of smell must hold me back when I’m cooking, but the only problem I have is that I don’t know when anything is burning,’ news.com.au quoted Katich, as saying.

Katich was taught to cook by his mum but it’s his wife Georgie who gets to taste test his culinary creations.

“There are a few of my dishes that Georgie likes and the crusted salmon is one of them,’ he says.

“The other things I like cooking for her are seafood risotto and spinach and ricotta cannelloni,’ he added.

“When I’m at home I do all the cooking because I miss it when I’m away,” Katich said. (ANI)
