Cricket match during Commonwealth meet cancelled
November 13th, 2009 - 4:16 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Port-of-Spain, Nov 13 (IANS) A cricket match that was planned during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) here Nov 27-29 has been scrapped, Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Patrick Manning said.
The cricket match was scheduled to be played at the unfinished Brian Lara Stadium in south Trinidad, but it is no longer on the agenda, Manning told the media. The stadium was supposed to be completed in time for the World Cup in 2007, but construction is yet to be finished.
