harHouston, Apr 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kareem Jackson, the football corner-back of the Alabama Crimson Tide, was picked up by the Houston Texans in the 20th NFL draft on Thursday night. The 22 year old player was the first corner-back who was selected in the first round by the Houston Texans after picking Dunta Robinson in the year 2004. Following the exit of Dunta Robinson from the team after he joined the Atlanta Falcons, the Houston Texans desperately needed a player in the position which resulted in the selection of Kareem Jackson.

According to reports, Frank Bush, the defense coordinator of the Houston Texans revealed to news sources that since the 22 year old corner-back has already known to have played in a complicated system, picking up the expertise required to play in the Texans team should not be a very difficult task for him. Moreover, the Houston Texans defense coordinator also pointed out that Kareem Jackson is going to be provided with every single chance to start as a starter for the team and in the process play a major role in contributing to its victories.

In the meanwhile, the promising corner-back is reportedly quite excited at the prospect of playing for the Houston Texans and has stated that as he is a quick learner, he would be able to fit into his new team. However, Kareem Jackson’s pick by the Houston Texans has come as quite a surprise for many analysts, who knew that the team would indeed go for a corner-back but did not presume that the Alabama Crimson Tide player would be the one to be selected.
