April 21st, 2011 - 6:57 pm ICT by ANILondon, Apr. 21 (ANI): Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho said the Copa del Rey final triumph over Barcelona has shown that his side can compete with their rivals.
Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 1-0 in a hard-fought match.
The Independent quoted Mourinho, as saying: “I am thrilled to win the Copa del Rey - it is something special.”
He added: “It’s a fantastic triumph against a great team like Barcelona - and we deserved it.”
“We can take them (Barcelona) on over two games; we have just done that,” he said, adding “There is no reason we can’t beat them in the Champions League because we have just drawn once against them and then beaten them.” (ANI)
