Connecticut Huskies Thrashes Kentucky Wildcats, Kemba Walker Scores 29 Points

Nov 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It was a breath-taking match in the Maui Tournament on Wednesday night where Connecticut Huskies faced Kentucky Wildcats and the former thrashed the other in the match. The Connecticut Huskies were in Hawaii to play Maui invitational match and they left the place with a trophy in their hand and Kemba Walker, the point guard for the University of Connecticut scored 29 which helped his team to beat the other with a big margin.
After Maui Tournament, Kemba Walker said that the team wanted to show the world that they are still the members of University of Connecticut. Last time on 2005 Connecticut Huskies won their first Maui title against Arizona Wildcats and this was their second honor. The Connecticut Huskies dominated the court from the first half and squashed every hope of Kentucky Wildcats’ comeback in the team. Along with Kemba Walker, Alex Oriakhi also scored 18 points with 11 rebounds which worked in favor of the team. This win came as a real joy to the team as the Connecticut Huskies shot 57% against the other team. Terrence Jones of Kentucky Wildcats managed to secure 24 points and at the same time Darius Miller added 15 to his team but could not rescue his team in the end.
Jim Calhoun, the coach of University of Connecticut expressed his excitement and said that the win is a great step for the team. He also said that this win would let people know that Connecticut Huskies is a good basketball team. John Calipari, the coach of Kentucky Wildcats called the whole game a “shellacking” experience. He explained his disappointment and said that his team outplayed. The star of the night Kemba Walker said that he was having lot of fun on the court as his team continued his dominance from the beginning.
